This booklet is a series of alphabets illustrated in watercolour based off of my interpretation of the poem ‘The Guest House’ by Rumi. It tells a story of a boy whose home has been visited by a flrry of strange creatures. The creatures are meant to depict emotion and how it may affect the person that houses the emotions. The end of the story is the boy feeling in awe as he witnesses the creatures leave his home. This reflcts the conclusion of the poem, which encourages the reader to embrace these emotions, however menacing they may be as ultimately it will guide us through life.
